Cumberland April 24th, 2016
by Juergen Nies
The weather was too nice not to fly somewhere to have lunch. The turn out was great with five airplanes participating (Kevin in Tri-Pacer, Dan in Sprint F22, Jim in Citabria, Bob in Luscombe, Juergen in Pacer) and a total of 10 people (Kevin brought his wife and two boys, John Ely was riding with Bob and Dave came along with me). It was a great flight in smooth air both ways and it was fun to talk to everyone in route. The service at the restaurant was a little slow, but we were in no hurry so it was OK and the food was pretty good and plenty.
Soon it was time for picture taking and to fly home. I hope we will have even a better turn out the next time.
On the ramp at Cumberland showing all five airplanes (Kevin's Tri-Pacer, Juergen's Pacer, Dan's Sprint F-22, Jim's Citabria and Bob's Luscombe)
Here are just four of the airplanes after Kevin and his family had left
I hope some more of you can make it the next time.
Make sure you look at the Upcoming Events schedule on this site for the next fly out.
